A few months back, Kubota introduced their much-anticipated Easy Over Mower Deck for the Kubota BX Series sub-compact tractors and the new B2301 and B2601 compact tractors.  Coming in 54″ and 60″ deck sizes, these new drive over decks make removing and attaching quick and easy, allowing the user to switch different implements on and off with minimal effort. It also reduces the time required to service, maintain and clean the mower deck.

Below you’ll find a helpful product introduction video from Kubota showing the deck in action and our quick and simple general guide to attaching and removing the Kubota Easy Over Mower Deck. This is meant to be a general guide only. We always recommend that you consult your owner’s manual for additional detailed product information and related safety precautions.

Step Four: On the left side of the tractor from the operator’s perspective, pull the deck pin and slide back the bracket into the unlock position. The bracket will be at an angle when it is unlocked

Step Six: Put the tractor into 4WD low and slowly back off the deck using the guard rail located next to the ramp. After the tractor has been completely backed off the deck, re-lock the universal joint lever by moving it back to the right

  1. Even though I tried to lower the frame all the way, it is stuck at a higher level — about two inches too high. As a result, the brackets don’t catch the bars that are supposed to grab the mower. How can I get it to go down the rest of the way?

    • Hi David,

Thanks for the question. On the left side of the operator platform is the turn dial to set your mower’s deck height. When putting the deck on and off, make sure to turn the dial to the 0 position allowing the deck to be lowered to its lowest position. Hopefully this helps. If you need more information, please give our service department a call and they’ll be happy to walk you through it, 603-675-6347.
